Composition and the Art of Seeing
What Makes Great Photographs?
2008 Dates Coming Soon

What makes the difference between "Photographic Fine Art" and "Photographic Records"? What makes the difference between what belongs on your wall, and what belongs in your scrapbook?
Is it:
Physical composition?
Quality of Light?, Subject mater?,
The eye of the beholder?,
or maybe all of these?
This workshop will be a weekend of visual overload! We will be looking at, and discussing all types of "Art" to separate "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly".
What are the rules of Composition?, Who are the mythical "they" that made up these so called rules? Do we need the rules?
Questions, questions and more questions!
Bring your eyes, brain, lots of questions, along with many opinions, and join us in an attempt to make sense out of the madness!
The only prerequisite for this class is a passion for photography, and Photographs, and a desire to make images that please "Your" soul.
This workshop will help strengthen your artistic eye and help you create photographs that put a small grin on your face, when you hang them on the wall, and step back for their first critical viewing.

Small personal workshops (1, 2, or 3 people) or individual student studies can be arranged by getting in touch with Don @ don@doncameron.com.
We are in the process of developing European workshops for the near future. The first will be in the Highlands of Scotland, then Spain, & Portugal. Next, The Provence area of France, and maybe The Greek islands. I am doing a survey to see if there is enough interest to proceed with all of the research. After 9-11 the biggest problem will be shipping film, and Camera gear so your feedback is important.
